Women’s Pelvic Health Course this March

Jan 29, 2025

Mareen Frost, physiotherapist

Following the success of our first Women’s Pelvic Health Event in January, we are delighted to launch our Women’s Pelvic Health course, which will run in March.

The course will be led by our physiotherapist, Mareen Frost, and will include a mix of studio classes and 1-to-1 consultations.

To maximise the individual value of the course, it will begin with a 1-to-1 assessment with Mareen. During this appointment, you can discuss your individual needs and confirm if the course is suitable for you or not.

If the course is unsuitable, you can pay for this appointment (£60) and follow Mareen’s guidance moving forward. If the course suits you, you can pay for the full course (£180) and join the studio classes.

4 weeks of studio classes will take place from 13:00 – 14:00 on Thursdays. These will be small group classes, with a maximum of 6 people in each session during March:

  • 6th
  • 13th
  • 20th
  • 27th

The course will conclude with a 1-to-1 review with Mareen to discuss your progress during the course and identify any further support required to continue your progress.

To express your interest in the course, please contact Reception on 01202 473800 or email info@bridgehw.com. You can book your initial assessment with Mareen online.

If you can’t make the Thursday classes but would still like some advice on pelvic health, please contact Reception or book an appointment with Mareen online. Mareen can provide 1-to-1 advice to support your pelvic health.

According to a survey by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), over 60% of UK women have at least one symptom of poor pelvic floor health.

  • one in five (21%) of women surveyed experienced urinary incontinence
  • a quarter (25%) experienced a frequent urge to wee
  • despite symptoms being common, over half (55%) do not currently do or have never done pelvic floor exercises
  • nearly a quarter (23%) did not know how to do them

Studies have shown that symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction, such as pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence, can have a huge impact on quality of life, impacting family life, wellbeing and personal relationships.

Experts like Mareen can help, so please get in touch.
