Thank you for helping us support Chill Dorset

Jan 15, 2025

Jo Cox from Chill Dorset charity on Avon BeachDuring 2024, we were delighted to support Chill Dorset as our charity of the year. Chill is a local Dorset-based charity providing sea swimming courses for people over 18 with any long-term health conditions mental or physical health conditions, including anxiety, depression and cancer. The Chill team offer structured and supportive gentle courses to introduce people to the wonderful therapeutic benefits of spending time in the sea.

As the charity runs causes on Avon Beach, right on our doorstep, we were keen to support their life-changing work. You can find out more about the charity and their incredible team of Chill volunteers at https://chilluk.org/hubs/england/dorset/chill-dorset/.

During the year, we had a collection box in the reception and held fundraising activities, including our Christmas raffle. By the end of the year, we had raised an amazing £244.21!

Thank you to each and every one of you who donated, as well as Guard House Sports, Beach Hut Cafe, Bengenixfitness, Eartech and Chill Dorset, who donated prizes for the Christmas raffle.

We are continuing to support Chill Dorset in 2025 and are looking to run some fundraising events with them. With plans for PIlates on the beach and maybe a sea swim with the Chill team, keep an eye on our Facebook page and newsletter for updates!
