Thank you to everyone who supported our Race for Life 2024 Team 🏃

Jun 20, 2024

Bridge Health & Wellbeing Team at Race for Life 2024Congratulations, Team Bridge! A massive thank you to everyone who supported the Bridge Health & Wellbeing team, which ran the Bournemouth 5k Race for Life 2024 on Sunday, 16th June. It was a great, sunny day, and the team smashed it!

After a successful debut at the Bournemouth Race for Life 2023, we were delighted to take part again this year. Whether walking, shuffling or jogging, everyone was welcome to join the team. Over the past two years, we have raised over £1,500 for Cancer Research UK by taking part in the Bournemouth Race for Life. We have also had great fun completing the event, along with so many other local people.

Cancer survival rates are rising, but there is still so much to be done.

1 in 2 women and 1 in 3 men will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetime.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made, but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further. Every penny we raise can help Cancer Research UK improve results even faster.

Bridge Health & Wellbeing race for Life 2024 teamWe’re passionate about supporting events like Race for Life 2024 Bournemouth, using physical activity to boost health and wellbeing and raise funds for such an important cause. The Bournemouth course starts in front of the Seafront offices before taking you out 2.5km along the glorious seafront towards Boscombe Pier. The route turns around soon after and returns back along the seafront to the finish in front of the Seafront offices. On tarmac paths, 5k is an achievable distance and a good first challenge for most people. At just over 3 miles, it can take about an hour to walk on average, but there’s no pressure to finish in a certain time. The most important thing is to have fun!

We’d love you to join our team next year. Register your interest by emailing info@bridgehw.com or call our team on 01202 473800
