Congratulations to our Bournemouth Race for Life 2025 Team! The Bridge Health & Wellbeing gang did a fantastic job, having trained really hard over the last few months. Together, we raised over £500 for Cancer Research UK to help save lives.
Thankfully, the sun shone as our team made their way around the 5k course, which starts in front of the Seafront offices, taking you out along the glorious seafront towards Boscombe Pier before returning to finish at the Seafront offices. This was the third year in a row the clinic has taken part in the Race for Life fundraising event.
Every two minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer.
Cancer survival in the UK has doubled in the last 40 years, but there is still work to do. Every penny raised can help Cancer Research UK discover new ways to beat cancer and create a future where everybody can live longer, better lives.
Since 1994, over 10 million people have participated in Race for Life events, raising more than £970 million towards life-saving cancer research. With the money, Cancer Research UK has helped develop radiotherapy, which helps 130,000+ people with cancer in the UK every year.
“We’re passionate about supporting events like Race for Life, using physical activity to boost health and wellbeing and raising funds for such an important cause.
Over the past three years, we have now raised over £2,000 and had great fun completing the event, along with so many other local people. A massive thank you to everyone who joined our team and supported us on the day. The crowds of supporters lining the route and cheering you on makes such a difference.”
