Trio of Awards Nominations for Bridge Health & Wellbeing

Nov 11, 2020

Wow! At Bridge Health & Wellbeing we are delighted that we have been nominated in THREE business awards.

Women’s Business Awards – Best New Business of the Year

Womens Business Conference Award Nominee 2020

The Women’s Business Awards celebrate the best businesswomen across the UK. 11 awards are up for grabs in a variety of categories from Businesswoman of the Year to the Positivity Award. Our Pilates teacher Louise O’Connell is delighted to be nominated in the New Business of the Year category. Louise co-founded Bridge Health & Wellbeing with her husband, physiotherapist Paul O’Connell, in July 2019.

Family Business of the Year 2021 – New Family Business

As a husband and wife team, Paul and Louise are delighted to be nominated in the Family Business Awards 2021. Organised by Family Business United, the awards celebrate the best of British family firms. Nominations close on November 30, 2020, and shortlisted family firms in each region will be announced in early 2021.

SME National Business Awards – Business Chameleon

The SME National Business Awards celebrate the hardworking and enterprising SME’s across the nation. This year, the organisers introduced a new category called Business Chameleon, recognising how businesses have adapted to huge challenges this year. We certainly faced a big challenge when we had to close our clinic doors in Christchurch, Dorset, in March 2020. But we quickly adapted to provide interactive Pilates classes on Zoom. Through video physiotherapy consultations, we continued to help our clients with their fitness and wellbeing.

Successful Women in Business Finalist woman award

Louise has already been selected as a finalist for the Successful Women in Business Awards. The awards night is coming up on 9th December, so we will be keeping our fingers crossed for her.

“Despite the HUGE challenges of our first 18 months in business, it is an honour to be nominated in these awards. The fact that people have taken the time to nominate us means so much. It shows that all the hard work and determination has been worth it.

Even when we had to close our doors because of coronavirus, deal with freak rain and flooding, we just had to pick ourselves up and keep going. If we can deal with all this in our first few years, we can cope with anything! Our clients have made it all worthwhile.”

Louise O’Connell, Pilates teacher and co-founder of Bridge Health & Wellbeing

At Bridge Health & Wellbeing, we are a friendly, family-run clinic in the heart of Christchurch in Dorset. We offer high quality physiotherapy, chiropractic treatment, sports massage, state-of-the-art gym facilities, expert Pilates and yoga classes. Our goal is to help you get better, build strength and feel happy and healthy in mind and body. If you need help with pain or an injury, or just want to stay fit and healthy, please contact us today at 01202 473800 or info@bridgehw.com.
